The Legend of Diablo

In a remote corner of Punta Orgulla, in the west of Nuevo Paraiso, the young protagonist grows up as the son of a Mexican farming family. The youngest of three children – with his brother Carlos and his sister Sofia – he experiences a childhood full of hardship. His father, Hector, is a strict and traditional man, while his mother, Maria, is a skilled craftswoman. Nothing is ever said about his paternal grandparents – a dark family secret hangs in the air. 

From an early age, the boy must learn to survive in the wilderness – hunting, foraging, and enduring the harsh environment. A traumatic encounter with a puma changes his life forever: he barely survives thanks to the intervention of a mysterious stranger. The stranger's cryptic words are burned into his memory: "You have only one life. Choose for yourself how you want to die." 

But the real horror begins when members of the feared Del Lobo gang show up on the family farm.
